SCHOLARSHIPS
You provide a lifeline for CIU students when you contribute to scholarships. You open doors of opportunities for students to walk through so they can realize the privilege of a CIU education. Over 90% of CIU students rely on financial assistance. Your scholarship gift will directly impact students who are following the call to Know Him and Make Him Known. Here are three different types of scholarships for you to participate: endowed scholarships, recurring scholarships and Tower Fund scholarships.
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Endowed scholarships (endowments) are established by either giving through current donations or through an estate. The gift portion is invested and preserved so a donor’s impact lives on forever and a percentage of earnings is awarded each year. CIU endowments generate approximately $1 million annually for student financial needs. Explore ways to create a lifetime memorial for your loved ones.
RECURRING SCHOLARSHIPS
Recurring scholarships occur in real-time and make an immediate impact on a student’s life. They are funded on an annual basis by donors who contribute a minimum of $1,500 per year with a 5-year commitment.
TOWER FUND SCHOLARSHIPS
A Tower fund is uniquely designed to be an entryway into the endowment fund at a lower threshold. Donors may establish a named Tower fund with a commitment to give regularly to their fund. Gifts accumulate over time, receive the same investment advantages of an endowment and combine with other Tower funds to make an immediate impact.
